Shoes are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Some of these guys play with cleats and have no qualms about skying people—which could end up in smashed toes.
Water is also a MUST. These guys are INTENSE and will RUN YOU.

2007 Vermont State Champs

30 04 2007

The 2007 Vermont State Championship Tournament is happening May 27, at Williston, from 9am to 5pm. This is an amazing opportunity and iss gon’ be WICKED fun.

What This Means: we wake up bright an’ early, jump into cars, and drive to Williston. Unload, set up in our box, get set. Then we play frisbee ALL F*KING DAY. Lunch is provided (according to Marcy it’s stuff like a bagel, a banana, peanut butter, etc). Tourney discs are $10 (you can see the design here). Then, after we’re all tuckered out, they hand out trophies to the first place team, the second place team, and the team with the most spirit. And then we flop (or ooze, depending on your style) into the cars and drive home. AND (get this) montpelier students get A DAY OFF the next day!

(More of) What This Means: it costs $100 to register a team. If I sense that people want to go, I’ll probably bite the bullet and pay for it all myself. I WILL be expecting people to pay me back.

The way i figger it, if we can take 15 players, each will pay $5 for UPA registration and $6.67 for the tournament cost. Total: $11.67.

So yeah: talk to your folks about the 27th. Our bid for the tournament is DUE THIS FRIDAY (May 4). This means we MAIL IT IN ON TUESDAY, which means I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU’RE GOING BY TUESDAY. If I think that people do want to go and it’s just a matter of checking with parents, we can say “oh, we’ll bring a team of 15 people” and then work out later who those 15 people are–this might offer incentive to come to practice if we say “we’ll take the 15 most dedicated players.”
get back to me, Marcy, or Anne if you can (or can’t) do the tourney.
